Mortlach 50 Years Old 1936 - 50th Anniversary Decanter G&M

While the depression lingered on with unemployment falling to 16.9%, and Germany continuing to show the world it was not scared of anyone, the Olympics were dominated by the great Jesse Owens embarrassing the Aryan 'supermen'. 1936 was an eventful year, and also the year this fabulous whisky was distilled at Mortlach Distillery, Dufftown (17th October 1936 to be precise).

The whisky has matured in selected oak casks at the distillery and more recently in Mortlach's warehouses in Elgin. It was drawn from cask on its 50th Anniversary, Friday 17th October 1986 and subsequently bottled under the supervision of the Director of the distillery in the City and Royal Burgh of Elgin.

Comes presented in decorative decanter and original box.
