Chichibu 2009 - 2014 Original Quarter Cask No.388

Japanese craft distillery Chichibu has been producing quality whisky since 2008. This Single Malt Whisky is from 2009, just after the distillery started making whisky and matured in a small cask. "Chibidaru" is a nickname for their original shape of quarter cask, which is about the same size of a Scottish quarter cask. Smaller size of cask gives extra deepness of the maturation and it develops the lingering sweetness and fruitiness after the whisky disappears.
