Fettercairn 30 Years Old 1978 - Rare Vintage

A Rare Vintage bottling of Fettercairn 30 years old single Highland malt Scotch whisky. Distilled on the 25th October 1978 and left to mature in the finest wood infused with Spanish Oloroso sherry butts for 30 long years. Limited to only 3000 bottles ever produced.

Fettercairn is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. The name Fettercairn means 'Foot of the Mountain' and on visiting the town you can understand why they named the town. In 1861 Queen Victoria and Price Alfred stopped at Fettercairn en route to their Scottish palace at Balmoral. It was said they wandered the streets unrecognised enjoying the picturesque village known as the jewel of the Mearns. A commemorative arch was later constructed to mark the occasion and it is this arch you can see on the Fettercairn bottles.
