Old Pulteney Lighthouse Collection (3x1Litre), Glass Pipette & Martime Picture

An exquisite lot for all Old Pulteney enthusiasts which includes the three travel exclusive bottlings from their Lighthouse Collection which include:

WK499 - Isabella Fortuna

WK499 is named after the last remaining herring fishing boat – The Isabella Fortuna. All boats from Wick are identified by the letters ‘WK’. The WK499 was launched in 1890 and sailed around the north east coast for 86 years. She was acquired in 1977 by the Wick Society, where she remains to this day; the last drifter in Wick Harbour.

WK217 - Spectrum

Old Pulteney WK217 is matured in Spanish and American oak sherry butt. Over the years, the casks gently absorb the northern sea breeze, giving the whisky its smooth complex flavours. WK217 'Spectrum', built in 1920 and one of the first Wick drifters to use a pioneering way of fishing called Anchor Seine Netting. She was also used during World War II for harbour service duties.

WK209 - Good Hope

Released to remember the ship Good Hope WK209: Built in Wick in 1948 and powered by a Gardner 152hp engine she was 55 feet in length and weighed in at 24 tons.
The Good Hope was the first boat in Wick to install an echo sounder, using radio navigation to find the ever elusive shoals of herring.

This lot also includes a glass pipette made by Iceberg Glass in Loch Ness, Scotland. Pipettes allow the connoisseur to add a few desired drops of water to their favourite dram than perhaps "drowning" it with water from a jug. Comes in an Old Pulteney presentation tube.

A wonderful image from Pulteney advertising their Lighthouse collection which features a beautiful Old Pulteney sail boat and last but certainly not least a large Old Pulteney gift bag has been thrown in for good measure.
