Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique

A multi-award winning full strength vinho single cask bottling from the much desired Kavalan (King Car Whisky) Taiwanese distillery. It was awarded a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2012 but most importantly it was awarded world's best single malt whisky of 2015 in the Worlds Whiskies Awards presented by Whisky Magazine.

Kavalan Solist Vinho is aged in the finest slow grown white oak which is air seasoned for 2 years. After soaking with some of the world's best wines, the casks are handcrafted with a specially developed toasting and charring process in the distillery's own cooperage to bring out the flavours that characterise this fine whisky.

The distillery was completed in December 2005. It produced its first spirit in March 2006 and released its first bottling in December 2008.

The distillery has since been named by Whisky Magazine as the World Icons of Whisky "Whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year" for 2011, and its products have won several other awards.
