Glenfarclas 1972 - The Family Casks Autumn 2014 Release

The Glenfarclas Family Casks series is a new range of vintage casks from first fill or refill sherry casks. The Family Casks are a unique collection of the best single casks from the distillery's warehouses. The Family Casks are bottled at cask strength and natural colour, allowing you to explore the subtle differences between casks and the history of family owned Glenfarclas Distillery, Scotland.

Distilled in 1972 from cask number 3546, this whisky 51.1% was bottled on the 30th November 2006 - its first release of just 645 bottles. Coffee and chocolate mingle with smoky, dark spices reminiscent of port or mulled wine, and on the palate toffee and cocoa, with apple leading to a distinguished finish of spices and dark chocolate. A light bronze-honey colouring.
